Structural Engineer

Job Description

As a Structural Engineer at Innovative Structural Solutions, you will be tasked with designing and analyzing different types of structures. You will work closely with a team of professionals to ensure that all projects are completed within budget and on schedule, while also adhering to local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural evaluations and assessments of existing structures.
• Prepare and submit plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Review project proposals and contractor submissions.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive project outcomes.
• Stay updated with industry trends and new technologies in structural engineering.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience

Technical Skills

• Reinforced Concrete Design
• Finite Element Analysis

Soft Skills

• Detail-oriented
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) Registration

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with BIM software: Knowledge of Building Information Modeling tools is a plus.
• Experience in Green Building Design: Familiarity with sustainable design practices.
