Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with experience in managing client accounts and preparing financial reports.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and reporting of monthly financial statements.
  • Maintain and update financial databases and systems.
  • Assist clients with bookkeeping services and advice.
  • Develop financial projections and forecasts.
  • Review and approve supplier invoices for payment.
  • Train and mentor junior accounting staff.
  • Participate in company financial audits.
  • Analyze financial trends, costs, revenues, and financial commitments.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for all financial documents.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting of financial transactions.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is advantageous
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles
