Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee various projects in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong leadership abilities and an in-depth understanding of construction processes, ensuring that projects are completed on time and meet safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present detailed reports on project progress to upper management.
  • Engage in regular meetings with the construction team to discuss challenges and solutions.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise construction staff to enhance team performance.
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Assess and handle change orders effectively to manage client expectations.
  • Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accurately maintained.
  • Foster a culture of safety and teamwork on the job site.
  • Manage project closeout to achieve client satisfaction.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
