Boiler Water Tester

Job Description

As a Boiler Water Tester, you will be tasked with conducting tests and analyses on water samples from boilers to ensure optimal water quality. Your role will be pivotal in preventing corrosion and scale formation, thereby enhancing the reliability of boiler systems.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze water samples from various boiler systems.
• Document and report findings to the Water Quality Manager.
• Provide insight into water treatment processes for system optimization.
• Identify chemical imbalances and recommend necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with environmental engineers to implement water quality improvement measures.
• Conduct thorough inspections and tests to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Liaise with external stakeholders regarding water quality issues and solutions.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills.
• Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the workplace.
• Provide support to the technical team in resolving quality issues.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field

Experience

• Prior experience in water treatment or gas boiler testing is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of South African water quality regulations

Certifications

• SANS 241 Certification for Drinking Water Quality

Languages

• English: Fluent
