Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to join our Cape Town team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in designing and implementing structural systems while ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate structural components and systems.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with designs.
• Prepare and present reports to stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve engineering challenges.
• Maintain communication with regulatory agencies.
• Document project changes and progress.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural projects

Technical Skills

• Revit
• SAP2000

Soft Skills

• Communication Skills

Certifications

• PROKON Certification
• Civil Engineering Technician Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Usage of project management software (e.g., MS Project): Experience in managing project schedules and workflows.
• Familiar with BIM methodologies: Understanding Building Information Modeling for project execution.
