DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies and automation, aimed at enhancing software delivery and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Architect and manage cloud infrastructure to support continuous delivery.
• Develop deployment scripts and automation tools to minimize manual processes.
• Assist in capacity planning and resource management within the cloud environment.
• Ensure security best practices are adhered to in all deployments.
• Collaborate with other engineers to design and build new features.
• Analyze and mitigate risks related to systems and deployments.
• Participate in on-call support rotations to handle production issues.
• Contribute to the overall DevOps culture and practices within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Relevant DevOps certifications preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in DevOps practices

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud Architect
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
