Coating Inspector

Job Description

As a Coating Inspector, you will oversee the application of coatings on various civil engineering structures. This involves preparing specifications, conducting inspections, and collaborating with contractors to ensure all projects meet regulatory standards. We seek individuals who are meticulous and possess a deep understanding of coating materials and application techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and measurement inspections to determine coating thickness and adhesion.
• Provide guidance to contractors on coating application best practices.
• Document all findings and maintain records of inspection activities.
• Mentor junior inspectors on quality assurance processes and standards.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality management system requirements.
• Participate in safety training and uphold safety standards at all times.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Coating Inspection certification is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in coating inspection

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of ISO standards
• Corrosion prevention techniques

Soft Skills

• Team collaboration
• Adaptability

Certifications

• NACE Certified Coating Inspector
• SSPC Certified Coating Inspector

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with coating inspection in an ISO environment: Knowledge of or experience working in an environment following ISO standards.
• Prior supervisory experience: Experience managing other inspectors or teams is a plus.
