Coping Machine Operator

Job Description

As a Coping Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the coping machines used to cut and shape various materials. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality control.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust coping machinery for production runs.
• Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace.
• Assist in training junior operators as needed.
• Report any malfunctions to the production supervisor.
• Support continuous improvement activities.
• Participate in safety meetings and uphold workplace safety.
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards.
• Help develop and implement best practices for machine operation.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate
• Relevant trade certificate

Experience

• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment preferred.

Technical Skills

• CNC machinery operation
• Quality control

• Analytical skills
• Time management

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Welding experience: Basic welding skills will be advantageous for this position.
