Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Consultant to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax compliance, regulations, and strategic planning, and will support clients in navigating complex tax issues to optimize their tax positions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the preparation of tax returns and compliance.
• Support clients in developing tax-efficient structures for their business operations.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impacts on client strategies.
• Provide proactive advice on planning opportunities to ensure tax efficiency.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions for clients on tax-related matters.
• Develop relationships with clients to understand their needs and objectives.
• Contribute to the firm’s knowledge base by documenting client interactions and tax strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional Tax Qualification is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in tax consulting or tax compliance roles

• Tax Law Knowledge

Certifications

• SAIBA Certification
• CA(SA) or equivalent is an advantage

Languages

• English: Fluent
