Job Description

Community Wellness Services is looking for a passionate Mental Health Professional to provide therapeutic support to clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in diverse therapeutic modalities, and a commitment to promoting mental health in the community.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose mental health conditions in clients.
• Create and implement effective treatment strategies.
• Work closely with families and caregivers to support clients.
• Advocate for client needs within the healthcare system.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives to promote mental health awareness.
• Coordinate with external resources for additional client support.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree or equivalent in Counseling or Clinical Psychology
• Must have current registration with HPCSA

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant clinical experience

Technical Skills

• Therapeutic Techniques
• Crisis Management

Soft Skills

• Active Listening
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Registered Mental Health Practitioner

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in group therapy facilitation: Ability to lead and facilitate group therapy sessions.
• Knowledge in child psychology: Background in working with child and adolescent mental health issues.
