Job Description

We seek an experienced Underwriter to join our team. In this role, you will analyze applications, leverage your expertise to assess risk, and provide input on policy guidelines to benefit both clients and the company.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client financial statements to evaluate risk indicators.
• Recommend risk mitigation strategies to minimize loss exposure.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Track and manage the underwriting performance metrics.
• Perform risk audits and evaluations periodically to refine underwriting processes.
• Assist in training new underwriters in best practices and guidelines.

• Experience with data analytics tools: Familiarity with data analytics tools that assist in risk assessment.
• Knowledge of local insurance regulation: Understanding of South African insurance regulations and compliance.
