Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to enhance our DevOps capabilities. Reporting to the Head of Cloud Solutions, you'll be responsible for implementing cloud services and ensuring system reliability. This position is suited to someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a knack for solving problems creatively.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable cloud solutions tailored to business needs.
• Collaborate with dev teams to create efficient cloud workflows.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements using cloud technologies.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Manage backups, disaster recovery solutions, and redundancy strategies.
• Participate in after-action reviews and assessments of cloud incidents.
• Liaise with vendors to manage third-party cloud services.

Requirements

Education

• A relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering or DevOps

Technical Skills

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• DevOps Practices

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies: Experience in projects developed using Agile practices.
• Knowledge of config management tools: Experience with tools like Ansible or Puppet for configuration management.
