Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and organized Volunteer Coordinator to oversee our volunteer programs in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers while ensuring that we meet our community service goals effectively.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with community organizations to identify volunteer opportunities.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions for volunteers.
• Develop promotional materials to attract new volunteers.
• Manage social media and online platforms to engage potential volunteers.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during volunteer projects.
• Collaborate with the Program Manager to assess community needs and develop relevant volunteer initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in sociology, psychology, or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in volunteer management or similar roles

Advantageous

• Experience with fundraising initiatives: Knowledge of fundraising strategies to support volunteer programs.
• Knowledge of community resources: Familiarity with local organizations and resources that can benefit volunteers.
