Job Description

As an Urban Planner, you will work on vibrant projects that shape the future of Stellenbosch. You will analyze demographics, zoning laws, and community needs to create effective development plans. Your role will involve stakeholder engagement, regulatory compliance, and leveraging best practices in sustainable design and urban living.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement urban plans focusing on community needs.
• Analyze socioeconomic data to identify planning needs.
• Organize public consultations and engage with local communities.
• Liaise with engineers, architects, and urban designers to develop projects.
• Ensure adherence to municipal codes and zoning laws.
• Develop strategies for land use and urban policy initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in urban planning or related fields
