Job Description

Join our team as a Construction Manager where you will play a pivotal role in the execution of key construction projects in Cape Town. Your responsibilities will include planning and coordinating project activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing the project budget and timeline effectively. You will work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure a seamless construction process.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of construction sites and manage the workforce.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Review and approve project designs and plans, making necessary modifications.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate contractor performance and resolve any issues that arise.
• Implement risk management strategies to minimize project delays.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure all workers are trained on safety protocols.
• Review and manage change orders as they arise during the construction process.
• Track and report on project progress to stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in a construction-related field preferred

Experience

• 5 to 8 years of experience managing construction projects

Certifications

• LEED Green Associate Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
