Chemical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Chemical Engineer to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will be involved in designing and optimizing chemical processes and will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, creativity in problem-solving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects focusing on chemical process development.
• Analyze process data and make recommendations for improvement.
• Coordinate with other departments to streamline production flows.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements.
• Prepare and present technical findings to management.
• Ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years in the chemical industry with a focus on process engineering

• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor

Languages

• English: Fluent
