Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will work on diverse projects, designing and implementing electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver top-notch engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on research and development of new materials.
• Design experiments to evaluate the efficacy of formulations.
• Lead process improvement initiatives for cost reductions.
• Coordinate with suppliers for raw materials and materials management.
• Troubleshoot process issues and work towards resolutions.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Monitor production and propose process adjustments.
• Prepare safety data sheets and ensure compliance.
• Engage with research institutions for collaborative projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or similar
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the chemical process industry
