You will be responsible for payroll processing, tracking expenses, and preparing monthly financial reports. Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable.
• Maintain general ledger entries and ensure their accuracy.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and manage cash flow.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Assist with audits and prepare necessary documentation.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding their accounts.
• Identify and rectify discrepancies in financial records.
• Implement and maintain accounting processes and policies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

Experience

• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience.

Technical Skills

• Bookkeeping Software (e.g., QuickBooks)
• Excel

• Time Management

Certifications

• Bookkeeping Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Xero or Sage Accounting Software: Prior experience using these platforms is beneficial.
• Knowledge of South African tax regulations: Familiarity with local tax laws is a plus.
