We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team in Cape Town. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, delivering high-quality nursing care, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to identify patient needs and preferences.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor their effects.
• Document patient care and report any changes in condition.
• Work collaboratively with other health professionals to develop care strategies.
• Provide support to patients and their families during difficult times.
• Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to policy development.
• Assist in case management and discharge planning.
• Contribute to the continuous evaluation of nursing practices.
• Encourage patients to engage in promoting their own health.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Nursing
• Registered Nurse license from the South African Nursing Council

Experience

• 1+ year of experience in a hospital setting preferred

• Medication Administration

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certification in a nursing specialty (e.g., pediatrics, geriatrics): Certification indicating advanced knowledge in a specific area of nursing.
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Afrikaans.
