We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our healthcare team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in laboratory procedures and diagnostics, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine and complex laboratory tests with high attention to detail.
• Engage in quality control measures to maintain lab standards.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with laboratory equipment.
• Participate in the training of junior lab staff and students.
• Conduct research and development activities related to laboratory services.
• Ensure readiness and cleanliness of the laboratory workspace.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Degree in Laboratory Science or related field

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting

• HPCSA Registration (Health Professions Council of South Africa)
