Shuttle Driver/Chauffeur

Job Description

As a Shuttle Driver/Chauffeur, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients to medical appointments and rehabilitation facilities. Your role will also involve assisting patients with their mobility needs, ensuring they receive the highest level of care during transit.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely, following defined routes and schedules.
• Provide mobility assistance to patients as required during transit.
• Keep detailed logs of patient journeys, including arrival and departure times.
• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met.
• Assist in organizing patient pick-up and drop-off appointments in coordination with healthcare providers.
• Engage with patients to provide reassurance and support during travel.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information as per regulations.
• Attend workshops to stay updated on best practices and safety protocols.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 2+ years of driving experience, preferably in a medical or transport setting

Technical Skills

• Driving
• Vehicle Maintenance

Certifications

• Valid South African driver's license
• First Aid and CPR certification (desirable)

Languages

• English: Fluent
