Responsibilities

• Perform structural evaluations on existing buildings.
• Implement sustainable practices in design and material choice.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns as needed.
• Collaborate on multidisciplinary teams for project delivery.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural design and analysis

Technical Skills

• Structural Analysis Software
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng)
• ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems Auditor

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with design software like Revit: Experience using Revit for 3D modeling and design.
• Familiarity with local building codes: Knowledge of South African building regulations and compliance standards.
