Pharmacist

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified pharmacist to join our dynamic team in Pretoria. In this role, you will be responsible for managing prescriptions, counselling patients, and ensuring the highest standards of pharmaceutical care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the pharmacy environment is safe and welcoming.
• Assist with prescription audits and regulatory compliance.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy.
• Provide expertise in drug interactions and side effects to patients and staff.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) preferred
• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting

Certifications

• Advanced Pharmacy Practice

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with electronic health records: Proficiency in using EHR systems for prescription management.
• Fluency in Afrikaans or other local languages: Ability to communicate in multiple languages is a plus.
