Blockchain Developer

Job Description

We are looking for a Blockchain Developer to create decentralized applications and smart contracts in our Johannesburg office. The successful candidate will have a robust understanding of blockchain technology and experience with cryptocurrencies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain.
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather and define requirements.
• Deploy blockchain solutions and ensure quality control.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with blockchain deployments.
• Contribute to the documentation and training related to blockchain solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of blockchain development experience with live applications

Technical Skills

• Ethereum and smart contracts
• Decentralized Application (DApp) development
• Web3.js or Ethers.js

Soft Skills

• Creativity
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified Ethereum Developer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with blockchain interoperability: Understanding of cross-chain technologies and solutions.
• Familiarity with DeFi protocols: Knowledge of decentralized finance (DeFi) concepts and protocols.
