Construction Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Construction Manager to oversee projects in Durban. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing construction projects from inception to completion. You will coordinate with subcontractors, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and maintain project schedules, ensuring high standards of quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure efficient and effective resource allocation across projects.
• Attend project meetings with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
• Implement strategies to mitigate project risks and ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Foster a culture of safety and quality on the job site.
• Facilitate training sessions for staff on safety procedures and project requirements.
• Work closely with the finance department to track project expenditures and costs.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure satisfaction with project results.
• Conduct post-project evaluations and implement improvements for future projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is advantageous

Experience

• 7+ years in construction management with a proven track record of successful projects
