Structural Engineer

Job Description

As a Structural Engineer at Future Builders Ltd., you'll lead the way in innovative structural design and project execution. Your responsibilities will include conducting structural analyses and collaborating with other engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative structural designs that meet client requirements.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for new projects.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
• Assist with the training and development of junior engineers.
• Review and approve design specifications and changes.
• Provide technical guidance for construction methodologies.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred
• Professional registration with ECSA or similar body is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural design and analysis

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Certifications

• ECSA registration or equivalent

Languages

• Afrikaans: Conversational
• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with green building certifications (e.g., LEED): Knowledge in sustainable design practices and green certifications.
• Experience in seismic and wind analysis: Understanding of dynamic loading and resilience in structural design.
