Public Health Officer

Job Description

Join our team as a Public Health Officer and lead efforts in promoting health education and disease prevention strategies within the Bloemfontein community. The right candidate will have a background in public health and experience in community outreach.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement public health programs tailored to community needs.
• Conduct health assessments and community surveys to identify public health issues.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective care delivery.
• Organize community outreach projects to promote health education and preventive measures.
• Monitor and evaluate public health initiatives for effectiveness and sustainability.
• Prepare and present reports on public health statistics and trends.
• Educate the public on health issues and available health resources.
• Provide training and support to community health workers.
• Engage with local government and stakeholders to advocate for public health policy changes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in public health or community health roles

Certifications

• Certified in Public Health (CPH)
• First Aid Certification

Languages
