Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Structural Engineer to join our team in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing structural systems, analyzing structures, and overseeing building projects. You will work closely with architects and construction teams to ensure that projects are completed on time and adhere to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings and documents for project approval.
• Analyse project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct peer reviews of technical documents and reports.
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets and proposals.
• Lead project meetings with stakeholders to monitor progress and address issues.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5-7 years of practical experience in structural design

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in renewable energy projects: Involvement in structural design for renewable energy applications, such as wind or solar.
