Pet Groomer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and caring Pet Groomer to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for grooming pets to ensure their hygiene and appearance, while also providing a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and handle customer inquiries effectively.
• Monitor behavior of pets before, during, and after grooming to ensure their safety and comfort.
• Assist in retail sales of pet grooming products and supplies.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss grooming standards and practices.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in grooming or veterinary care

Technical Skills

• Grooming Equipment
• Behavioral Understanding

Soft Skills

• Customer Service
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• Advanced Pet Grooming Certification
• Pet CPR and First Aid Certified

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with pet grooming software: Experience using scheduling and management software specific to pet grooming.
• Ability to perform basic pet health assessments: Skill in identifying common health issues in pets.
