Job Description

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Engineering Technician to join our dedicated team in Durban. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting engineering projects, assisting with technical tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of engineering processes. The ideal individual will have a strong foundation in engineering principles and hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with project leads to develop engineering solutions.
• Prepare detailed project documentation and maintain project files.
• Assist with data analysis and interpretation related to engineering tasks.
• Monitor and report on project progress and potential risks to management.
• Coordinate project activities and schedule with team members.
• Utilize specialized engineering software to perform calculations and designs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
• Perform inspections and tests on completed work to ensure quality standards.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of junior team members.
• Support project management with administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

Education

• BEng/BSc in Engineering or related field

Experience

• 3+ years in engineering support roles

Technical Skills

• Project Management Software
• Data Analysis Tools

Certifications

• Certified Engineering Technician (CET)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
