Job Description

Join us as a Structural Engineer where you'll play a pivotal role in the design and analysis of various projects in Bloemfontein. You will utilize your expertise in structural analysis and materials to create resilient structures that comply with regulations. Engage with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze structures such as buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure.
  • Evaluate project specifications and develop appropriate engineering solutions.
  • Ensure all designs comply with local regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, surveyors, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct site visits to assess ongoing projects and ensure compliance with designs.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate project reports and documentation.
  • Utilize software tools for structural modeling and analysis, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SAP2000.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide solutions to mitigate potential structural issues.
  • Manage project budgets and schedules to ensure successful delivery.
  • Mentor junior engineering staff and provide training on best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
  • Master's degree is preferred
Experience
  • 4-6 years of experience in structural engineering
