Job Description

As a Clinical Psychologist at Mental Health Professionals, you will have the opportunity to influence the lives of clients through innovative therapy methods. You will assess and treat mental health conditions, providing a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver workshops on mental health topics.
  • Address client concerns through active listening and empathy.
  • Create a safe and welcoming environment for therapy.
  • Facilitate communication between clients and their families when appropriate.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support when necessary.
  • Engage in research activities to improve service delivery.
  • Participate in training and mentoring of junior staff.
  • Network with other professionals in the mental health sector.

Requirements

Education
  • PhD in Clinical Psychology preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in diverse clinical settings
Technical Skills
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • DBT and Supportive Therapy Techniques
Soft Skills
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Teamwork
Certifications
  • HPCSA Registered Psychologist
  • Advanced Counselling Techniques Certification
