Millwright

Job Description

As a Millwright, you will ensure the smooth operation of machinery and equipment within our plant. The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of machinery to detect potential issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment.
• Work with engineering teams to develop maintenance strategies.
• Ensure all safety and compliance regulations are adhered to.
• Document maintenance processes and equipment performance.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other departments.
• Participate in training programs for new technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• National Diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering
• Trade certification as a Fitter and Turner is preferred

Experience

• 5-7 years’ experience in plant maintenance or operations.

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with Root Cause Analysis: Skilled in identifying the root causes of mechanical failures.
