Job Description

As a Woodworking Machine Setter/Operator, you will handle various woodworking machinery to produce high-quality timber products. You'll ensure machines are set up correctly, run efficiently, and meet quality specifications to uphold our reputation in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Handle various woodworking machines as per production requirements.
• Check and set machine parameters to meet quality standards.
• Train and mentor junior operators on machinery use and safety measures.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and take corrective actions.
• Work closely with the quality assurance team to resolve any issues.
• Follow all safety protocols and promote workplace safety.
• Help with inventory management and material control.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical qualification in woodworking or engineering preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in woodworking or similar roles

Technical Skills

• Woodworking machine maintenance
• Blueprint reading

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving skills
• Communication skills

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with CNC machines: Familiarity with CNC machinery for precise woodworking tasks.
• Forklift operation certification: Certified to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
