Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented Forensic Auditor in Johannesburg to investigate and resolve allegations of fraud and financial discrepancies. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of auditing principles and a knack for forensic accounting.

Responsibilities

• Investigate potential fraudulent activities and conduct interviews with relevant personnel.
• Prepare comprehensive reports documenting investigation results and recommendations.
• Stay current with changes in legislation and auditing standards that may affect practices.
• Work closely with audit teams to integrate forensic methods into regular audit processes.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and safeguard financial integrity.
• Assist in training junior auditors on forensic auditing techniques.
• Ensure proper documentation and retention of all audit materials.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional certifications such as CFE or CIA are highly desirable

Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in auditing or forensic investigations
