Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Environmental Compliance Engineer to join our Johannesburg office. The successful candidate will focus on ensuring regulatory compliance within environmental projects, conducting audits, and devising strategies that promote eco-friendliness in our practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct compliance assessments and environmental impact evaluations.
• Assist in the development of strategies to minimize environmental risks.
• Review and enforce adherence to environmental policies and practices.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to promote environmental sustainability.
• Prepare technical reports on environmental findings and recommendations.
• Act as a point of contact for environmental compliance inquiries.
• Identify areas for continuous improvement in environmental practices.
• Support management in strategic sustainability initiatives.
• Assist in the preparation for inspections and audits by regulatory bodies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Environmental Management is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience in environmental compliance roles
