Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Tax Consultant to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert tax advice to clients, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. You will work closely with clients to identify tax-saving opportunities and develop tailored tax strategies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct consultations with clients to discuss tax positions.
• Prepare documents for tax audits and represent clients as needed.
• Optimize clients' tax positions through strategic planning.
• Collaborate with other professionals (lawyers, accountants) on complex cases.
• Educate clients on tax obligations and ensure understanding.
• Present findings and recommendations to clients clearly.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Taxation or equivalent qualification
• Professional certifications (e.g., CIMA) preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in taxation or accounting

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Taxation Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic
