Pharmacist

Job Description

As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in our healthcare team in Johannesburg. You'll manage medications, offer expert advice to patients and healthcare providers, and contribute to our mission of delivering the highest quality care.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify physician orders and prescriptions.
• Provide pharmaceutical care and patient services.
• Conduct medication therapy management.
• Deliver pharmaceutical education and training to patients and staff.
• Oversee the pharmacy’s compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Manage pharmacy billing and insurance claims.
• Engage in clinical research and trials as required.
• Advise healthcare providers on medication selection.
• Assist in the management of pharmacy operations.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting

• Patient Counseling

Certifications

• Pharmacy Board Certification
• immunization Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience in clinical settings: Experience providing pharmacy services in a hospital or clinic.
