Job Description

As a Public Relations Officer, you will spearhead our communication efforts in Durban, focusing on fostering relationships with media outlets, and ensuring our brand’s message resonates with the audience.

Responsibilities

• Design PR initiatives that enhance brand visibility.
• Oversee written content for newsletters and social media platforms.
• Establish and maintain relationships with public officials and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate press conferences and manage logistics.
• Analyze press coverage and prepare reports for stakeholders.
• Engage with audiences through community events and programs.
• Execute crisis communications plans when necessary.
• Identify and secure speaking opportunities at relevant events.
• Develop communication materials for various platforms.
• Provide training to staff on effective communication techniques.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in public relations or communications
