Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of interventional radiology procedures including angiography, biopsies, and stent placements.
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging examinations like X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds.
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  • Conduct pre-procedure consultations to communicate risks and benefits to patients.
  • Maintain accurate medical records of procedures performed and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Stay updated on advancements in interventional radiology techniques and participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Engage in research initiatives and contribute to publications in reputable medical journals.
  • Participate in on-call duties as required to provide continuous patient care.

Requirements

Education
  • Medical degree (MBChB or equivalent)
  • Specialization in Radiology
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologist

Certifications
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
