Structural Engineer

Job Description

As a Structural Engineer in our Johannesburg office, you'll be engaged in a variety of structural engineering tasks from concept to completion. You'll leverage your expertise to analyze calculations and provide insights that contribute to the overall success of our engineering designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design projects from concept through to completion.
• Cultivate relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
• Integrate sustainable practices into design and engineering solutions.
• Perform risk assessments and mitigation strategies for structural systems.
• Document all stages of design and project development.
• Mentor junior engineers in technical and professional skills.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
• Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Postgraduate qualification in Structural Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in engineering projects

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis
• Revit

Soft Skills

• Teamwork

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in advanced structural software: Experience in using advanced structural analysis and design software.
