Job Description

As a Veterinarian, you will contribute to our mission of providing excellent veterinary care to the pets of Port Elizabeth. Responsibilities include administering vaccinations, performing surgeries, and maintaining health records. You will work closely with pet owners to educate them about proper care and treatment options.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in various species.
• Conduct routine and emergency surgeries as required.
• Advise pet owners on proper care and health maintenance.
• Keep detailed medical records of all treatments administered.
• Engage in continuous education and professional growth.
• Foster a caring environment for both pets and their owners.
• Collaborate with local animal welfare organizations on community outreach.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to team discussions on best practices.

Requirements

Education

• DVM or equivalent veterinary qualification
• Postgraduate studies in veterinary sciences preferred

Experience

• 4+ years in clinical veterinary practice

Technical Skills

• Diagnostic imaging skills
• Anesthesia administration

Certifications

• Veterinary Specialist Certification
• Pet First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous
