Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Laboratory Technician to join our Port Elizabeth team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring quality control measures are met.

Responsibilities

• Execute laboratory experiments following established protocols.
• Ensure the proper disposal of hazardous materials.
• Evaluate and validate test methods and results.
• Collaborate closely with other laboratory staff.
• Provide technical support to the lab team.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
• Develop and maintain laboratory policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• BSc in Medical Technology or related discipline
• Postgraduate studies are a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in laboratory testing

Technical Skills

• Microbiology
• Chemical Analysis

Certifications

• Advanced Laboratory Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
