As an Accountant in our Durban office, you'll play a key role in managing financial records, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to financial accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements including balance sheets and income statements.
• Oversee budgeting activities and provide insights to management.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Process accounts payable and receivable.
• Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits.
• Develop and implement effective accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist in preparing corporate tax returns and VAT filings.
• Review financial data for accuracy and completeness.
• Advise on financial planning, risk management, and fiscal strategy.
• Provide mentorship to junior finance staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA qualification is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
