Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, with experience in retail pharmacy. You will be responsible for dispensing medications, consulting with patients, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the medication therapy management process for patients.
• Enhance patient medication adherence through education and follow-ups.
• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and legality.
• Collaborate with medical professionals to optimize patient care.
• Support the pharmacy team in reaching operational and clinical goals.
• Monitor for drug interactions and contraindications.
• Participate in quality assurance programs and initiatives.
• Support the pharmacy's strategic goals and objectives.
• Attend community health fairs and promote pharmacy services.
• Engage in research and clinical trials as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Pharmacy are advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in community pharmacy

• Medication management

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Languages
