Production Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Production Manager to oversee all aspects of production in our Cape Town facility. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in optimizing production processes, managing teams, and ensuring product quality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for materials and supplies.
• Ensure maintenance of machinery and equipment for optimal performance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Prepare and present reports on production performance to senior management.
• Address production issues proactively to minimize downtime.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in Operations Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a management role within manufacturing

Technical Skills

• Manufacturing Process Optimization
• Budget Management

Soft Skills

• Negotiation

Certifications

• Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in the automotive manufacturing sector: Understanding of manufacturing processes specific to automotive production.
• Experience with robotics in production: Knowledge of integrating robotics into manufacturing processes.
