Keyseater Operator

Job Description

The Keyseater Operator will set up and operate keyseating machines to produce precision slots, keyways, and splines on various components. The successful candidate will need a solid understanding of machining processes and be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate keyseating machines with precision and care.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Manage the setup of tools and equipment for production runs.
• Troubleshoot and address any operational issues promptly.
• Participate in safety audits and maintain compliance with safety standards.
• Document machine settings and production output.
• Liaise with the quality control team to resolve discrepancies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of machine capabilities and limitations.

Requirements

Education

• National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
• Trade Test Certificate as a Machinist is preferred

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
