We are on the lookout for a skilled Insurance Underwriter to join our Johannesburg team. This role involves assessing risks, determining policy terms, and ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines. Ideal candidates will have a firm understanding of insurance products and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and ensure comprehensive underwriting.
• Help in developing training materials for the underwriting team.
• Advise on policy renewals and endorsements.
• Collaborate with sales teams to develop insurance products.
• Participate in relevant industry seminars and workshops.
• Assess data and trends to improve underwriting strategies.
• Communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and their impact on underwriting.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or Insurance
• Professional qualification in underwriting is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in underwriting
