Electromechanical Equipment Assembler

Job Description

The Record Changer Assembler will be responsible for assembling and testing record changers in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure while ensuring the quality of each unit assembled.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test vinyl turntables and record changers.
• Follow engineering specifications strictly during the assembly process.
• Perform quality checks on assembled products.
• Troubleshoot and repair product defects or malfunctions as needed.
• Collaborate with other team members to enhance production efficiency.
• Maintain an organized workstation with the necessary tools and materials.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Document daily production activities and any encountered issues.
• Assist in stocktaking of materials and components.
• Support cross-training efforts within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate
• Technical Diploma in Electronics or related field is advantageous

Experience

• Previous experience with record changers is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Experience with electronic testing equipment
• Basic computer skills

Soft Skills

• Good communication skills
• Time management skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with automated assembly systems: Familiarity with automated processes can enhance efficiency.
• Knowledge of quality control standards: Knowledgeable about maintaining and adhering to quality standards.
