Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Insurance Underwriter to join our team in Cape Town. This role involves assessing insurance applications, evaluating risks, and setting appropriate premiums. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills to liaise with agents and clients effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis of applications to assess risks.
• Review underwriting files and documentation for accuracy.
• Maintain relationships with agents to facilitate smooth communication.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients throughout the underwriting process.
• Monitor claim history and adjust underwriting processes accordingly.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in underwriting or insurance

Certifications

• Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII)

Languages

• English: Fluent
